How to Unlock & Defeat Achates in Lost Ark?

Achates is one of the bosses you will need to fight in the Lost Ark Guardian Raids. How to Beat Achates in Lost Ark?

1. Annihilation

3. Power Up

Achates roars, applying an Attack Power Debuff.

2). How to counter?

Stagger the boss as soon as he starts to roar.

5. Curse

1). What does it?

Achates will place a blue and red curse on two players.

2). How to counter?

The players must move together for a short time to break the curse.

6. Earthquake

1). What does it?

The Guardian slams on the ground once and summons cross-shaped rifts below and around him. After a slight delay, he will slam once more and cause the splits to explode.

2). How to counter?

Avoid standing in the cracks.

7. Wing Attack

1). What does it?

Achates lifts and flaps his wings to deal damage and knock up everyone below him.

2). How to counter?

Move as far away from the attack radius as soon as he flaps his wings.

8. Flying Charge

1). What does it?

Achates charges at a player. If he disappears, he will attack the same player again.

2). How to counter?

The first can be dodged, but the second is harder to avoid. Wait two seconds from his disappearance, then dodge perpendicular to the original flight path.

9. Light Explosions

1). What does it?

Two or three light explosions will happen around Achates.

2). How to counter?

Stay away from Achates, and if the light explosions target, the player dodges out of them.

10. Breath

1). What does it?

Achates breathes on a target, leaving them with the Scorch debuff.

2). How to counter?

Dodge to the right, left, or towards Achates. If he breathes backward, go in the opposite direction.

11. Light Field

1). What does it?

It fires multiple different conical hail AOEs in a circle around its body.

2). How to counter?

Dodge out of the cones as soon as they appear.

12. Scorch Mark

1). What does it?

Two players are caught in an enclosing ring, creating a firey field below whichever it touches first.

2). How to counter?

You cannot avoid this, so take the ring to the edge of the battlefield away from others, then dodge out as hits.

Lost Ark Achates Raid Tips

1. Following combat items are recommended to deal maximum damage to Achates;

1). HP Potion: It restores 30% of your health and can save you from one-shots.
2). Panacea: It removes all debuff from your character.
3). Corrosive Bomb: It increases your chances of dealing with more weak point damage.
4). Flare: It will display the location of statues summoned by Achates during battle.
5). Pheromone Bombs: Helpful in stopping Alberhastic from running away so often.
6). Taunting Scarecrow: An excellent alternative to a Gunlancer's Taunt to distract Alberhastic from interrupting players while in its Stagger Check.
7). Whirlwind Grenade: Helpful for passing the Stagger Check and just Staggering Alberhastic.
8). Time Stop Potion: Useful if caught in one of the Heavy Damage mechanics is unavoidable.

2. Panacea does not dispel Torch, so make sure to manage your Torch stacks and try to stay away from teammates if you have the AoE Torch effect.

3. During the barrier mechanic, on the second variation, you can anticipate the next wave of rings by looking at the color or shape within the barrier.

4. While doing the barrier mechanic, remember to use your run skill upon picking up a shape to move faster.
