Why Did You Choose the Path Of Exile Delirium?

Path of Exile has announced a new league recently named Delirium. The Delirium league contains plenty of content for RPG fans, such as Cluster Jewels, New Gems, New Notables, New Items and New Encounters. This is why we chose the Path Of Exile Delirium.

Cluster Jewels

Cluster Jewels

Cluster Jewels are new Jewels who introduced this league. There are three sizes of jewel - Large, Medium, and Small, each with a different focus.

Large jewels may be placed in the outermost passive skill tree sockets and focus on offensive bonuses.

Medium jewels can be placed in the outermost passive skill tree sockets or a socket created by a large jewel and they focus on specific mechanics and utility effects.

Small cluster jewels can be placed in sockets created by Large or Medium jewels and sockets on the outermost parts of the passive skill tree. Small jewels focus on defenses.

Unlike regular jewels that grant bonuses to your character, these Cluster Jewels introduce entirely new passive tree nodes to invest in.

The Cluster Jewel itself is randomly generated when acquired, determining the minor nodes and potential notables provided when socketed into the passive tree. Over 280 new notable passives are included in this system, allowing for an unprecedented amount of customization since Ascendencies were added to the game.

Here are the 10 best Cluster Jewel notables you can use in Path of Exile's Delirium league.

• Purposeful Harbinger
• Hollow Palm Technique
• Supercharge
• Heraldry
• Master of Fear
• Endbringer
• Replenishing Presence
• Energy From Naught
• Blessed Rebirth
• No Witnesses

These jewels are rewarded from successfully completing Delirium encounters, capable of adding new passives in your tree to spec into. These can range from extra life nodes to entirely new notables to shift the way your character functions.

Crafting jewels that suit your build is easy to do as well, allowing even the most casual of players to get mileage out of this system.

New Gems

A new league wouldn't be complete without new ways of tackling the content. Every new league in Path of Exile introduces new Skill Gems and Support Gems for players to use. While most leagues focus on a core theme for their new Gems, Delirium league has opted to add some more experimental options.

Blade Blast

Blade Blast is one of this league's highlights, detonating piles of blades from other abilities to deal massive damage in a moderate area. It is a skill that detonates blades on the ground, which can be created by the likes of Blade Cortex or Ethereal Knives. These blades can also be used to create Animated Weapons for boss fights.

Spellslinger is also a fantastic Support Gem that has opened up dozens of new build types relating to wands.

Wands have an overhauled Kinetic Bolt, bouncing randomly and forking every time it hits a target.

The final skill shown is Stormbrand, creating runes around you as you channel that can siphon your mana to detonate with great effect.

All of the Skill Gems and Supports added this league has seen great use.

New Notables

Since the passive tree is seeing some expansion thanks to the new jewels, there are new no tables available for players to experiment with.

One of the new notables shown is called Hollow Palm Technique, which grants a massive 60% more attack speed rating while counting you as dual-wielding. The downside of this node is it only works when you have no main hand or offhand item equipped, and you can't be using any gloves. This allows crafty players to create a monk-esque playstyle with unarmed strikes.

New Items

One of the most important items of this expansion will be Orbs of Delirium. Like other modifiers, these can be applied to endgame maps to directly affect how intense a player experiences their Delirium. One Orb will be difficult, and up to five can be used in a single encounter for the most difficult modifiers, but also the best rewards.

Orbs

Finally, the ultimate challenge lies in the Simulacrum. In the deepest depths of a player's Delirium, Simulacrum Splinters can be located and, once 100 have been collected, players can access the ultimate endgame fight in this expansion.

Also, there are some new Uniques and Divination Cards to keep the game interesting.

One example the developers gave is a chest plate called Perfidy. This chest plate houses typical health increases for the user, but it also enhances Banner skills significantly. Those who wear Perfidy can use two Banners at once, each granting increased duration to their planted effects such as Adrenaline or Fortify.

Items like this enable or enhance certain builds in the Path of Exile, adding to the game's already near-infinite replay value.

New Encounters

Every zone in "Delirium" will contain a mirror that will spawn a thick fog and, spawning from that fog, a horde of nightmarish demons players get to slay.

These nightmares have modifiers that make them more dangerous than your average monsters. The further a player delves into the Delirium, the greater the challenges and the rewards. For endgame players, this will also be fantastic to give Maps that extra risk and reward factor to them.
